La Perereka is a lesbo-transfeminist coworking studio located in a fully renovated and protected Masonic townhouse from 1906 by the Rio de Janeiro city hall, at Rua Frei Caneca, 54, in the Historic Center of Rio de Janeiro. Directed and managed by the Spanish artist and journalist Laura Corcuera since September 2023. The space offers a welcoming, safe, and creative environment for artists, writers, photographers, researchers, scientists, producers, communicators, and feminist activists. Equipped with air conditioning and professional internet, it is ideal for office work, artistic rehearsals, workshops, meetings, and events. Located very close to Praça da República or “Campo de Santana”, it also offers the option to work outdoors. Located in the center of Rio de Janeiro, the townhouse is accessible to various areas of the city by train, metro, and bus.
